Community Rowing is a partnership between FCRC and local community organizations. With the generous support of Rowing Canada Aviron and Rowing BC, FCRC works with each organization to create a custom-made Learn-to-Row program. The goal is to make rowing more accessible to people who have traditionally been excluded from the sport. These programs introduce more people to the joys of being on the water and the (mental) health benefits of our sport. They strengthen the club’s local connections and help us to truly represent the diversity of our local community. Current community partners include Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver, the Canucks Autism Network, Athletics for Kids and Colour the Trails. If you are a community organization that is interested in partnering with us, or a member who wishes to find out how to get more involved, please contact us.

We have two groups that are scheduled for 2023:
- Group A: Tuesdays, June 20 – July 25 (12-15 yrs)
- Group B: Thursdays, June 22 – July 27 (15-18 yrs)
Followed by a weekly drop-in, dates TBC
